1. Failure of hydraulic components

If there is a slowdown in work, we need to figure out if some operations are slowing down or the whole thing is slowing down. Different situations have different solutions.

a. The overall hydraulic system slows down

If the overall hydraulic system slows down, it is very likely that the hydraulic oil pump is aging or damaged. It can be solved by replacing the oil pump or upgrading the oil pump of a larger model.

b. One of the speed of turning, lifting, luffing, and drilling is slowed down

If this happens, it should be the sealing problem of the motor, and there is an internal leakage phenomenon. Just replace or repair the hydraulic motor.

2. Hydraulic oil failure

a. Hydraulic oil temperature too high

If the hydraulic oil is in a high temperature state for a long time, the harm is very serious. The lubrication performance becomes poor under high temperature, the hydraulic oil will lose its anti-wear and lubrication functions, and the wear of hydraulic components will increase, damaging the main components of rotary drilling rig such as hydraulic pump, valve, lock, etc; In addition, the high temperature of hydraulic oil may also lead to mechanical failures such as oil pipe burst, oil seal rupture, piston rod blackening, valve sticking, etc., causing serious economic losses.

After the high temperature of the hydraulic oil is maintained for a period of time, the rotary drilling rig shows slow and weak action, which reduces the work efficiency and increases the oil consumption of the rotary drilling rig engine.

b. Bubbles in hydraulic oil

Bubbles will circulate everywhere with the hydraulic oil. Because the air is easy to be compressed and oxidized, the system pressure will drop for a long time, the hydraulic piston rod will turn black, the lubrication condition will deteriorate, and abnormal noise will be generated, which will eventually slow down the working speed of the rotary drilling rig.

c. Hydraulic oil sediment

For new machines, this situation does not exist. It usually occurs on rotary drilling rigs that have been used for more than 2000 hours. If they are used for a long time, it is inevitable that air and dust will enter. They interact with each other to oxidize and form acidic substances, which in turn aggravates the corrosion of metal components, resulting in the deterioration of the performance of the machine.

Also, some factors are unavoidable. Due to the temperature difference between morning and evening and the regional climate, the hot air in the hydraulic oil tank turns into water droplets after cooling, and the hydraulic oil inevitably comes into contact with moisture. normal operation of the system.

What should we do if the working speed of the rotary drilling rig slows down

Regarding the problem of hydraulic oil, the solutions are as follows:

1. Select the hydraulic oil performance and brand reasonably according to the specification.

2. Regular maintenance of the hydraulic system to prevent pipeline blockage and oil leakage.

3. Adjust the system pressure according to the design standard.

4. Repair or replace worn hydraulic components in time.

5. Regularly maintain the hydraulic oil radiator system.
