All measures to reduce the friction and wear between the friction surfaces of water well drilling rigs are called lubrication. The main functions of lubrication on drilling rig equipment are as follows:
1) Reduce friction: This is the main function of adding lubricating oil. Due to the existence of lubricating oil film, the direct contact of the metal surface of the transmission parts is prevented, thereby reducing the magic friction resistance and reducing the wear consumption.
2) Cooling and heat dissipation: In the high-speed rotating parts, a large amount of heat is generated due to friction. If the heat is not dissipated, the temperature will continue to rise, resulting in burning the parts.
3) Anti-rust protection: The drilling rig is often exposed to wind and rain when it operates in the open air, and the metal parts are easy to rust. If a good grease is applied to the metal surface, it can prevent rust and prolong the service life.
4) Sealing blockage: Wool felt is installed on the sealing packing and bearing end cover to seal, which can effectively seal and dustproof due to oil immersion.
5) Washing dirt: The rotary reducer and the main lift reducer of the drilling rig are oil bath gear reducers. In a circulating thin oil lubrication system, the liquid oil is continuously circulated, flushing the surface, which can carry out surface wear debris and dirt.
Correct use of lubricating oil can significantly improve the performance and life of water well drilling rigs and reduce energy consumption.
