Safety Operation Procedures for Geological Drilling

YDL-2B full hydraulic core drilling rig

1. Geological drilling practitioners must receive safety education and pass the examination before taking up their posts. The rig captain is the person responsible for the safety of the rig and is responsible for the safe construction of the whole rig. New workers must operate under the guidance of the captain or skilled workers.

2. When entering the drilling site, you must wear safety helmet, neat and fit work clothes, and it is strictly prohibited to wear barefoot or slippers. It is forbidden to work after drinking.

3. The machine operators must observe the labor discipline and concentrate during operation. They are not allowed to play, play, doze, leave the post or leave the post without permission.

4. Before entering the site, the distribution of overhead lines, underground pipe networks, communication cables, etc. in the site shall be made clear. When there are high-voltage lines near the site, the drill tower must keep a safe distance from the high-voltage line. The distance between the drill tower and the high-voltage line shall not be less than 5 meters above 10 kV, and not less than 3 meters below 10 kV. The drill rig shall not be moved as a whole under the high-voltage line.

5. Pipes, articles and tools on site must be placed in order. It is strictly prohibited to store toxic and corrosive chemicals in the drilling site. During use, protective equipment must be worn according to relevant regulations.

6. Do not take off or land the tower without checking the equipment. No one is allowed to stand around the tower during takeoff and landing.

7. Before drilling, it is necessary to check whether the screws of the drilling rig, diesel engine, crown block, tower frame and other machines are tightened, whether the tower materials are complete, and whether the wire rope is intact. The work can be started only after it is determined that it is safe and reliable.

8. The vertical axis of the drilling rig, the center of the crown block (or the tangent point of the front edge) and the drilling hole must be on the same vertical line.

9. The staff on the tower must fasten their safety belts and shall not stretch their heads and hands to the range where the elevator goes up and down.

10. When the machine is running, it is not allowed to engage in the disassembly and assembly of parts, and it is not allowed to touch and scrub the running parts.

11. All exposed drive belts, visible wheels, rotating shaft chains, etc. shall be provided with protective covers or railings, and no objects shall be placed on the railings.

12. All connecting parts of the hoisting system of the drilling rig shall be reliable, dry and clean, with effective braking, and the crown block and hoisting system shall be free of failure.

13. The brake clutch system of the drilling rig shall prevent the invasion of oil, water and sundries to prevent the drilling rig from losing control of the clutch.

14. The retractor and lifting hook shall be equipped with safety locking device. When removing and hanging the retractor, it is not allowed to touch the bottom of the retractor.

15. During drilling, the captain shall be responsible for the operation of the drilling rig, pay attention to the working conditions in the hole, drilling rig, diesel engine and water pump, and solve the problems found in a timely manner.

16. The hole opening workers are not allowed to hold their hands at the bottom of the cushion fork handle. The power of the upper and lower cushion forks should be cut off first. After the coarse diameter drilling tools are lifted out of the hole opening, they should hold the pipe body of the drilling tools with both hands. It is prohibited to put their hands into the drill bit to test the rock core or look down at the rock core with their eyes. It is not allowed to hold the bottom of the drilling tools with their hands.

17. Use the tooth pliers or other tools to tighten and remove the drilling tools. When the resistance is large, it is strictly prohibited to hold the tooth pliers or other tools by hand. Use the palm downward to prevent the tooth pliers or other tools from hurting the hands.

18. When lifting and running the drill, the drilling rig operator shall pay attention to the height of the elevator, and can only put it down when the workers at the orifice are in a safe position. It is strictly prohibited to put the drilling tool down to the bottom.

19. When the winch is working, it is strictly forbidden to touch the wire rope with hands. The spacer fork cannot be started until it leaves the drilling tool.

20. When hammering, a special person shall be assigned to command. The lower drill pipe of the hammer must be equipped with an impact handle. The upper part of the hoop should be connected to the drill pipe, and the elevator should be hung firmly and the drill pipe should be tightened. It is strictly forbidden to enter the working range of the piercing hammer with hands or other parts of the body to prevent the hammer from hurting.

21. When using the jack, it is necessary to pad the field beam and fasten the jack and post. When tightening the slips, they must be cushioned with a hammer. The upper part of the slip shall be tightly clamped and fastened with the impact handle. The orifice shall be well enclosed, and the retractor shall be fastened. The jacking shall be slow, not too violent, and there shall be a certain interval.

22. When using the screw jack, it is prohibited to increase the length of the wrench at will. The jacking height of the screw rods on both sides should be consistent, and should not exceed two-thirds of the total length of the screw rod. During the push rod process, the head and chest should be far away from the wrench. During the kickback, it is prohibited to use the elevator to lift the jacked accident drilling tools.

23. The operator is not allowed to stand within the reverse range of the pliers or wrenches when reversing the drilling tools.

24. The site shall be equipped with appropriate fire-fighting equipment to prevent fire accidents.

25. During the anchor bolt drilling operation, the operator of the drilling rig shall face the drilling and shall not operate with his back to the drilling.

26. During the excavated advance drilling operation, the pile orifice shall be covered with a cover plate to prevent falling into the pile hole. Without reliable protection, it is not allowed to enter the pile hole for any operation.

27. During dam drilling, after the final hole is drilled, it must be backfilled with cement sand and gravel in strict accordance with the regulations.
