The Contractor shall use crack inducer or equivalent low noise method for removal of pile head to cut-off level.
The Contractor shall preinstall crack inducer to effectively render crack on the pile at about 100 – 300 mm above the pile head cut off level. The pile starter bars above this level shall be de-bonded to the concrete by materials such as polystyrene foam or rubber sponge. Upon excavation for pile cap construction, pile heads above the crack line shall be lifted u pin whole piece. The last 100 – 300 mm above cut off level shall betrimmed off using handheld electric or pneumatic hammers.
